Our Story
Two sisters,
one flower studio
Florelle began in 2016 with a borrowed van, a market stall on Hawthorne Street, and a stubborn belief: flowers should look like they just came from a garden, not a factory.
Ten years on we are still family-owned — founded by sisters Mara and June Ellison, still buying from Oregon growers first, still hand-tying every bouquet that leaves 48 Willow Lane. The van is nicer. The belief hasn't moved an inch.
Today the studio is three things at once: a shop for everyday stems, a wedding and events atelier, and a flower school where a few thousand Portlanders have learned to spiral their first bouquet.

Grown close to home
From April to October most of our stems travel under a hundred miles — lavender, dahlias, sweet peas and garden roses from Willamette Valley farms we know by first name. Out of season, we buy certified sustainable imports and say so on the tag.
Nothing wasted
Short stems become posies for the care home on 23rd. Petals become confetti. Green waste is composted with our grower partners. Our wedding work has been foam-free since 2019.
